Phil Davis – Chief Financial Officer

Phil Davis has over 30 years of financial and business leadership experience. He became Chief Financial Officer of M.D. Cowan, Inc. in January 2008 after a brief period of owning a consulting CFO firm servicing companies in the Midland-Odessa area. From February 2006 to August 2007, Mr. Davis served as Senior Vice President of a community bank in Midland, TX. From November 1998 to January 2006, Mr. Davis was Chief Financial Officer of a group of private held entertainment companies in Odessa, TX.

From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Davis operated a CPA firm in Midland, TX which led to a brief stint as Division Controller for a privately-owned oil and gas manufacturer, service and supply company. Mr. Davis served 5 years as Controller of a privately-owned exploration and production company in Midland, TX. Prior to that, Mr. Davis worked 11 years in the audit department at Price Waterhouse in Dallas and Midland, TX. Mr. Davis is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and has been a CPA licensed in the State of Texas since 1976. Mr. Davis is married with one child.
